Once again the Philippine Speleological Society will be conductring its annual congress which aims to educate stakeholders on how important caves are in our lives. The event have been the neutral ground for brainstorming on the issues affecting caves from the strandpoint of tourism and conservation. This year, the congress will focus on the caves role as the vessel of life-giving water which hopes to drill the importance of caves and how it will directly affect common peoples lives if caves are not properly used.
The Department of Envuronment and Natural Resources and the Departrment of Tourism and most of all the local government units (LGU) officials and key personel are set to attend the congress to address this matter. Our partner LGU, the Municipality of Pres. Manuel Roxas and neighboring Municipalities of Manokan and Katipunan in Zamboanga del Norte have offerred their locality as the venue for the congress on April 24-28,2017.
Registration for non -PSS members is Php 1,500.00 and for PSS members is Php 1, 000.00.
We really hope that you can support us in our effort to make caves matter. Join us and see the men and women of Philippine caving.
