THE PETRALONA CAVE.

TWO WORDS ABOUT.

The bejewelled with stalagmites and stalactites Petralona Cave has
been developed on the western side of the limestone Katsika mountain
(~700 m height) and 300 m above sea level. The Cave was spotted in

Notes: The Speleological School – an international meeting with 30 year long history and 24 editions linked with the name of its founder and scientific director - late Professor Marian Pulina. It bring together classical karst and cave studies with exploration of glacier caves. The 25th Speleological School entitled “Karst and Cryokarst” will be a joint meeting of the Commission on Glacier Caves and Cryokarst in Polar and High Mountain Regions of the UIS and Karst Commission IGU Commissions and also the 8th GLACKIPR Symposium.
