SPELEOMEETING of Slovak speleological society, 2007
Slovak speleological society invites all cavers and admirers of mysterious underground world to take part in meeting of all slovak cavers - the 16th SPELEOMEETING to be held on the 14th april 2007 in the Culture house at Svit near Poprad (Eastern Slovakia).
During the undertaking cavers will present attractions as regards speleology, the last year results of their exploration and research in caves and karst of Slovakia and the world as well.Program:

new discoveries abroad
expeditions, trips
technical news and attractions
map and photo exhibition
SSS will award cavers for:
the greatest discovery by the SSS members in Slovakia in 2006
the greatest discovery by the SSS members abroad in 2006
Spectators will award cavers for:
the most valuable contribution from home caving sites
the most valuable contribution from caving sites abroad
the best panel documentation
Interesting lectures and videos from the considerable discoveries in home karst areas but also exceptional discoveries abroad by slovak cavers can be heard and seen whole day. Spectators will take interest in contribution on archeological discoveries in slovak caves too. In the end, the awarded movie by Pavol Barabas “TEPUY” about an expedition of our speleologists to Venezuela will be projected. A splash will be surely made by a presentation on Expedition Krubera/Voronya 2007 during which in january Russian cavers made a new world depth record -2170 m. At the same time, Czech and Slovak cavers made their national world depth record -2060 m.
Slovak cavers discover caves in Slovakia and abroad, exlore them and protect them. They do not regret time and money, or their health. Nature reveals its underground mysteries, beauties in order all we could admire them.
