EU subsidies - Call for project
Dear Caving Friends, Chers Amis Spéléo,
The Bureau of the European Olympic Commitees in Brussels informed us that the EU Comission is launching a call for projects 2010-2011 in the 4 following areas of sport (Health, Education, Handicap, Women). This is the result of the work on the EU White book on sport in which the FSE has participated on the previous years. 16 projects will be selected for total amount of 4 millions euros. The projects must gather between 4 to 9 countries minimum.
The FSE proposes to help you find other speleological organisation in Europe among its network and to centralise the projects ideas that you would like to set up with other FSE members (The FSE comprises 22 European members countries). Since the final request has to be sent to Brussels end of August, we propose you to send us by email before the 10th of June 2009 your proposal summary.
We will then communicate to each expressed organisation the data of the proposed projects, so that you can set up a request together. The FSE can not mount the request for you, but the Bureau members can answer specific questions and have a review to you request before you send it to Brusels. Of course such an EU project is quite heavy to set up, but if it works, an average of 250.000 euros per project representing 80% of the project budget is a great opportunity.
