La Commissione Europea per la Protezione delle Caverne (ECPC) della Federazione Speleologica Europea (FSE), ha annunciato il nuovo bando per progetti di protezione delle caverne al fine di ricevere il prestigioso riconoscimento “EuroSpeleo Protection 2023”.
Il premio EuroSpeleo Protection Label è un riconoscimento speleologico europeo gestito dalla ECPC Commissione Europea per la Protezione delle Caverne finanziato dal budget della FSE Federazione Speleologica Europea. L’obiettivo è promuovere tra i club speleologici europei le attività di protezione delle grotte realizzate in modo ecologico integrato, tenendo conto delle direttive ambientali dell’UE, dei principi di gestione dei siti Natura 2000 e delle linee guida dell’IUCN sulla protezione delle grotte e del carso.
Quali sono i criteri per partecipare?
Il premio EuroSpeleo Protection Label verrà assegnato ogni anno a un progetto di protezione delle caverne unico. Una giuria speleologica europea stabilita dal Consiglio della ECPC farà la selezione. Ogni progetto che miri a proteggere le grotte sviluppato da un club, un comitato locale o una commissione nazionale di un paese membro della FSE può partecipare.
Per ricevere il premio EuroSpeleo Protection Label, non è necessaria la partecipazione di speleologi provenienti da diversi paesi, ma l’applicazione dovrebbe essere di qualità e la presentazione e i risultati del progetto dovrebbero essere comunicati in uno spirito che possa essere riprodotto in altre regioni e paesi europei. L’applicazione dovrebbe essere inviata a protection@eurospeleo.org entro il 30 aprile 2023, in lingua inglese.
Il progetto deve ricevere l’approvazione dalla propria organizzazione speleologica nazionale, ovvero una lettera di sostegno dalla propria organizzazione nazionale, membro della FSE.
Il premio per il Label 2023 è di €800 più un attrezzatura da caving offerta dal nostro sponsor FSE Aventure Verticale.

Call for Cave Protection Projects

It is with great pleasure that the FSE announces the next call for Cave Protection projects to receive the Label “EuroSpeleo Protection 2023” from the ECPC (the European Cave Protection Commission of the FSE).
The EuroSpeleo Protection Label is a European Speleological award managed by the ECPC, financed by the FSE budget. The EuroSpeleo Protection Label will help to promote amongst the speleological clubs of Europe, Cave Protection activities that are designed in an integrated ecological way, taking into account EU environmental directives, the principles of administration of the Natura 2000 sites and the IUCN Guidelines on caves and karst protection.
With what kind of projects can you apply?
The EuroSpeleo Protection Label will be awarded every year to one unique Cave Protection project. A European speleological jury established by the ECPC Board will make the selection. Any project aiming at protecting caves developed by a club, a local committee or a national commission from a member country of the FSE can apply.
What are the criteria to receive the FSE EuroSpeleo Protection Label and what is the prize?
There is no need for participation of cavers from different countries, but the application should be a quality project and the broadcasting of the project presentation and results should be made in a spirit that can be reproduced in other European regions and countries. The application should be sent to protection@eurospeleo.org before 30th of April 2023, in English language.
The project must receive the approval from its national speleological organization, i.e. a letter of support from its national organisation, member of the FSE.
The reward for the label 2023 is 800.- EUR plus one caving gear from our FSE-sponsor

Appel à projets de protection des cavités
C’est avec grand plaisir que la FSE annonce son appel annuel à projets de protection des cavités pour le Label “EuroSpeleo Protection 2023” de l’ECPC (Commission Européenne de Protection des Cavités FSE).
Il s’agit d’un prix spéléologique européen géré par l’ECPC, financé par le budget FSE. Le Label EuroSpeleo Protection aidera à promouvoir dans les clubs spéléologiques en Europe les activités de protection des cavités conçues dans un mode écologique intégré. Cela permettra également de montrer au niveau européen l’état de l’art des spéléologues en matière de protection des cavités, en prenant en compte les directives environnementales de l’UE, les principes d’administration des sites Natura 2000 et les recommendations UICN (IUCN-Guidelines) sur la protection des cavités et du karst.
Avec quels types de projets pouvez-vous candider?
Le Label EuroSpeleo Protection sera décerné chaque année à un seul projet de protection de cavités. La sélection sera faite par un jury spéléologique européen élu par les membres de la commission ECPC. Tout projet visant à protéger des cavités qui est mené par un club, comité local ou commission nationale d’un pays membre de la FSE peut poser sa candidature.
Quels sont les critères pour recevoir le Label EuroSpeleo Protection FSE et quelles sont les récompenses.
Il n’est pas besoin d’avoir la participation de spéléologues de différents pays, mais la candidature doit présenter un projet de qualité et la diffusion de la présentation et des résultats du projet doivent être faits dans l’esprit de pouvoir être reproduits dans d’autres régions et pays européens. La candidature doit être envoyée à protection@eurospeleo.org avant le 30 Avril 2023, en langue anglaise.
Le projet devra recevoir l’approbation de son organisation spéléologique nationale,
par exemple une lettre de recommandation de l’organisation nationale, membre à la FSE.
La récompense pour le Label 2023 est de 800.- EUR en plus d’une option d’équipement spéléo de notre sponsor de la FSE Aventure Verticale.
